In this interview, Terence Bernie Hines talks about his role in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Watch the full interview here.

Actor Terence Bernie Hines, who plays Gary in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, explains what the film is all about and what it’s like working with the cast of Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Patton Oswalt, Sean Penn and Adam Scott.

“I play one of his good buddies in the office, amongst his many fantasies that take him all over the world,” Terence says. “I can’t say everything, but I can tell you this movie has a lot of adventure and it will blow your mind.”

Then he talks about Ben Stiller’s character and the film’s plot.

“The movie is about Walter Mitty, who’s kind of a nobody, no-personality, no-anything kind of a guy, who fantasizes every five minutes of his life,” he explains. “The humdrum job that he works at is in the Time Life building which has just been bought out by some new guys who want to get rid of the magazine and turn it all digital and so their thing is get rid of all of us guys who’ve been doing it forever.”

He also talks about the incredible cast and what their filming schedule looks like.

“We’ve been shooting for about three weeks now. There’s another two or three weeks-worth of shooting, then it’s off to Iceland,” he says. “A month in Iceland, and then a little bit in Greenland, and then back over to New York and we’ll be good.”

As for working with Ben Stiller, Terence says, “It’s been one of the greatest experiences as an actor you could ever have because being an actor himself, he knows how to direct actors.”

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is scheduled for release Thanksgiving of 2013.
